Christian School Education Degree Approved by ACSI

Nazarene Bible Colleges Christian School Education Degree Program Receives Approval from ACSI

Nazarene Bible College's Christian School Education degree program has just received approval from the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) for the next ten years. Beginning this spring, our Christian School Education degree program graduates will be automatically certified by ACSI. This means our program is recognized for meeting the teacher certification requirements for those entering the Christian school classroom.

The ACSI site-visit team's report resulted in the college's leadership being highly praised for "recognizing the place of the Christian School Education Program in the overall mission of the college to train 'quality servant leaders who will impact their communities for Christ.'" Additionally, NBC was recognized for our "intentional commitment to thoroughly prepare educators for the Christian school classroom". President Harold B. Graves Jr., said, "Recognition by the Association of Christian Schools International strengthens our Christian School Education program and enhances the degree for our students." Can I get an Amen!

The Christian School Education program is offered both on campus and online. It employs a "cohort format for coursework and individualized fieldwork and student teaching that is based on the student's prior experiences". All the while, it upholds its purpose of enabling those who wish to serve as schoolteachers in Christian schools or other educational ministries meet the teacher certification requirements. This approval is huge, and shows ASCI's trust in our program. Nonetheless, we plan to continue to work at deserving that trust by using state-of-the-art advancements in the preparation of our students for the years to come.
