Our Little Online Christian College: A Student's Testimony

Man continueing his online Christian college education while sitting on a rock.

While Christian College campus students get a personnel touch to learning on a daily basis, transferring that to our online students can be somewhat of a challenge. Sometimes we wonder how our students really feel about our distance learning college and the Christian education they're receiving. Needless to say, when our online department gets an email from a student explaining how NBC is helping them grow with their higher education, it's the best kind of compliment that overwhelms us with delight.

As Brian Colegrove, an online student from Connecticut recently said, "Although I live in CT on the East Coast, I feel like I am so much of the body of NBC in Colorado Springs, CO. I have even listened to chapel services so that I feel like I am right there." Now you know we like to hear that! Due to technology these days, we are able to stream chapel services, student projects, etc. to our online students in our continuing effort to include them in the daily things that happen here on campus.

Brian goes on to say, "Now that I have been involved in my NBC Online classes, I have never enjoyed my personal life so much." He mentioned, "Devotions we have in our English Comp class are touching my heart." By providing that kind of class leadership, professors like Dr. Powers, Director of the Bible and Theology Program and Dr. Christine Phillips, Adjunct Professor of English and Education are helping our students to "experience God in a wonderful way". The great thing about taking our online Christian courses is that we are a community, and yet you conveniently get your online Bible College degree from the comfort of your own home. Hearing that our students' experiences with NBC are exceptional makes the college faculty truly feel blessed. Being able to offer Christian degrees through our low cost regionally and nationally Accredited Bible College with the continuing support and help from our current students, alumni, and faculty is what we cherish here at NBC the most.
