Chaplain Alan Lyke

Chaplain Alan Lyke has taught Music, Bible and Pastoral Ministries courses at NBC since 1995. He has served as chaplain of the college since 2000. His education includes a Bachelor of Science degree from Olivet Nazarene University, a Master of Divinity from Nazarene Theological Seminary, graduate work at Iliff School of Theology, Denver Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry in 21st Century Church Leadership from Drew University.
Chaplain Lyke's ministerial service includes two years as Minister of Music at Nall Avenue Church of the Nazarene, in Overland Park, Kansas, and eight years as Senior Pastor of Columbia Community Church of the Nazarene in Columbia, Missouri.
Chaplain Lyke is married to Marilyn, who is an interior designer and the love of his life. Together they have three children: David, Ariana, and Jonathan, and one granddaughter: Ceridwen. Alan enjoys playing his guitar, reading, and spending time with his family.
