Church Ministries
Overview
The A.A. Min. degree with a concentration in Church Ministries is a 64-semester-hour program designed to prepare the graduate for service as a lay minister in the area of church ministries, including such roles as minister of visitation or evangelism minister.
Objectives
Completion of this program should enable students to:
- Assimilate and integrate the basic content and teaching of the Bible.
- Explain essential Christian beliefs for practical application in ministry.
- Demonstrate and integrate understanding of the structure, organization, administration, and functions of the ministry of a local church congregation.
- Share the ideals of Christian service and gain a proper personal self-estimate as well as self-acceptance.
- Understand the basic principles of human behavior.
- Compare and contrast, as well as utilize, the various methods and resources for Bible study.
- Apply communication skills by means of understanding the intricate communication process, including correct contemporary usage of oral and written language.
- Correlate principles of spiritual formation to enhance personal and corporate worship and appreciate spiritual disciplines in the habits of Christian devotion.
- Increase the burden for global evangelization to reach the lost and exemplify the grace of God in interpersonal relationships.
