Cut your own Christmas Tree in Pikes Peak National Forest

The $10.00 cutting passes will be available November 27 through December 13 at 601 S. Weber Street - no credit cards will be accepted.

On-site permits are also available December 2-3 and 9-10. Directions to cutting site are Hwy 24 west to Woodland Park and east on Baldwin Street (at the McDonalds) to Rampart Range Road. Four wheel drives are recommended and/or chains for your tires. Be prepared for winter weather, and please leave the location well before dark. Anticipate at least 4 hours for your Christmas tree cutting experience. Engelmann Spruce, Douglas Fir, and Lodge Pole Pine trees are available choices for cutting. Hand saws and axes are the only cutting devices allowed on the site - chainsaws are not permitted. Trees should be NO MORE than 6 inches in diameter.
