Important Financial Aid Information

Please make note of the attached schedule of financial aid disbursements for 2011-2012. There has been significant changes and we are giving notice now so that students can plan ahead for this change.

Disbursing aid per the schedule below reduces the liability to the student for UNEARNED financial aid which:

  1. Reduces the student receiving aid for courses not completed so that aid is available to the student at a later date.
  2. Prevents potential amounts due to NBC as a result of return of unearned aid.
  3. Assists NBC in reducing the overall default rate to enable financial aid to be provided to future generations of students.

This change does not affect the college's policy on refunds of tuition, or the policy on recalculation of Pell grants should the student find it necessary to drop classes after these dates. The NBC refund policy can be found in the 2011-2012 College Catalog so please review it.
