Campus Interviews for District Ministerial License

Attention: All pastoral ministry students who need to interview for a District License or the Renewal of a District License from a District other than the Colorado District.

Date: Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 3 – 6 pm.

Place: Dr. Jim Russom's Office – Admissions Building

If you cannot interview with your district by telephone, or make the trip back home for a face-to-face interview, this is what you need to do.

Procedure: Contact your District Studies Board and have them make a request that we interview you for this purpose. If you do not know who the contact person is on your district, call a pastor on the district or the district office and they can give you the phone and email address for this. They should email the request to Dr. James R. Russom at JRRussom@nbc.edu or they can call his office at 800-873-3873 ext. 5143 or 719-884-5143 and make a verbal request. The student then needs to call Dr. Russom to make an appointment for the interview. Appointments must be made no later than Monday, March 3, 2014 to insure a place on the schedule.

Come prepared to share your testimony, your call, your understanding of the doctrine of entire sanctifi cation, and your awareness of your current financial obligation for school loans and personal finances. Other questions regarding your education and ministerial preparation may also be asked by those on the interview committee.

If you have not done so, it might help you to review the Sourcebook on Ordination for USA/Canada Region, Go to http://nazarene.org/ministries/clergy/display.html (This is the temporary site; a new website is being constructed.) In the lower left corner under Ministerial Sourcebooks, click on United States of America. That will give you the Sourcebook on Ordination USA edition. It is a pdf file. I would encourage you to download this sourcebook on your computer. Review Chapters 1 and 2 to make sure you understand the process and your relationship with your District Ministerial Boards.

If you have any questions, contact Dr. James Russom.
