Scholarship Opportunities

2013-2014 NBC Scholarships: NBC offers several scholarships established by various individuals and groups. To apply go to the Financial Aid tab at the top right of the screen. Then select the Scholarship link on the left hand side. Click on the application link to print a copy of the NBC application. All applications must be completed and submitted to the Financial Aid Office by April 15, 2013. Eligible students are those who have:

  1. Completed 12 credit hours with NBC.
  2. Are enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at the time of the application.
  3. Earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 at the time of the application.

Colorado Author's League Scholarship: The Colorado Author's League is offering a $1000 scholarship to an aspiring Colorado writer. If you are a college student who meets the following requirements, you are encouraged to apply online at www.coloradoauthors.org/Site/Scholarships.php

  1. Legal resident of Colorado
  2. Officially enrolled full time at an accredited college
  3. Have successfully completed at least 12 hours of undergraduate study
  4. Have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or better
  5. Demonstrate financial need

Executive Women International (EWI) ASIST Scholarship: The Adult Students in Scholastic Transition Scholarship is an educational scholarship program for the benefi t of non-traditional students. Applicants who meet the following eligibility requirements may obtain an application packet through the EWI website: http://ewiconnect.com/Documents/Forms/fm25.pdf

  1. Clearly define career goals and objectives
  2. Specify the educational requirements to attain the above goals and objectives
  3. Utilize re-entry programs available through colleges/universities, community agencies and service groups or career professionals
  4. Are 18 years of age or older
  5. Reside within the boundaries of an EWI Chapter

International Board of Education (IBOE) Scholarships: The IBOE is comprised of twelve people representing the global Church of the Nazarene. The IBOE functions as the global church advocate for educational institutions for the Church of the Nazarene Worldwide. These scholarships are open to all students but are awarded based on need and academic excellence. Please contact the NBC financial aid office to obtain an application and instruction packet. The deadline for completed applications is April 15, 2013.
