PSY4311 - Laboratory in Family Counseling
This is the third lab in a core sequence of three. Its purpose is to assist the student in acquiring and practicing skills in family counseling with a systems approach to identifying needs.
The Laboratory in Family Counseling will introduce the student to
- a foundation for and an application of family theories, methods, and techniques.
- an operative understanding of two theories frequently used in family therapy.
- an increased knowledge of and competency in facilitating family therapy growth for functional relational health.
- an employment of structured activities, video observations, reviews, and case presentations under the direction of the instructor.
