Considering Financial Aid

.

Financial aid for college students can be a very daunting task at times. At Nazarene Bible College, we would like to shine a light into that dark tunnel and help our students down the right path. Most of the time, financial aid is left to the students to endure on their own. NBC has an amazing group of staff members to answer any questions that may arise and to help students apply for their financial aid.

Here are some brief ways for paying for your higher education:

Grants and scholarships are a fantastic way to help pay for your education and are very beneficial to those who qualify. Once a student has applied for this assistance and been granted the funds, it is available for them to use for tuition, fees, books, and any other expenses related to attending school. Grants and Scholarships are forms of financial aid that students do not have to repay.

If the student needs additional funding to cover their education, they may apply for a student loan. There are three types of loans, two of them being federal government loans (subsidized and unsubsidized) and one being a private loan. A subsidized loan has deferred interest while the student is enrolled at least half time. An unsubsidized loan accrues interest while the student is in school. Last is a private loan which is a loan that you get from a bank or other authorized companies such as Sallie Mae.

NBC is very thankful for our students and we love to help them out in any way we can. We strive to provide a quality Christian education and our financial department tries to help our students find financial assistance with their tuition and fees. We take every student into consideration and know that every students' needs are different.
