The Ronald L. Attig Scholarship

On October 30, 2014, veteran professor, Ron Attig, officially announced the establishment of an endowment for student scholarships at Nazarene Bible College. This had been his dream for years. President Harold B. Graves Jr named it:

"In recognition of Professor Attig's life and legacy, I am naming this endowment the Ronald L. Attig Scholarship. Dr. Attig has given faithful service as a full-time member of the faculty for 42 years. Thousands of students who have attended his communication and spiritual formation classes testify to the impact of his teaching on their lives and ministry. All who know him recognize his passion for the mission of NBC, his love of teaching, and his dedication to students."

The initial goal for the endowment was set at $40,000 and was surpassed. Alumni of the institution took the lead in giving. Many friends of NBC and Dr. Attig continue to make this one of the premier scholarships available to students annually.

Students who intend to minister in the Church of the Nazarene are eligible to receive this award. In the awards chapel on May 19, 2016, Dr. Attig had the privilege of presenting the inaugural scholarship to Mr. Nathan Blanchard, to be used in the next academic year.
