Five Decades of NBC Presidents Represented

Celebrating 50 Years of Excellence

Saturday, May 27, Nazarene Bible College celebrated 50 Years of Excellence. The celebration took place in Strickland Chapel in Colorado Springs. Among the special guests were Mr. Wayne Strickland, son of the founding president, Dr. Charles Strickland; Rev. Steve Oliver, son of the second president; Dr. Charles Oliver; Dr. Jerry Lambert, the third president; Dr. Hiram Sanders, the fourth president and Dr. David Busic, Jurisdictional General Superintendent.

The college’s fifth president, Dr. Harold B. Graves Jr., spoke about the future of Nazarene Bible College. The college will be committed to excellence in academics, leadership, innovation, and servanthood. Graves concluded by saying: "This is the beginning of a new journey - an exciting new venture for the future of preparing men and women for ministry. We have been faithful to our mission, and we will be faithful in the future. We will strive for excellence in everything we do as we launch into the future. I am optimistic that the “New NBC” will be viable, vital, and visionary in fulfilling its mission."
