Doctoral Hooding Dr. Charles A. Tillman, Sr.

2019 NBC Commencement

This year Nazarene Bible College awarded a total of 88 degrees and certificates, with 43 graduates participating in the ceremonies. 73 candidates received bachelor’s degrees and 39 graduates were in attendance. Graduates completed certificate programs, associate degrees, and baccalaureate degrees in ministry.

One of the highlights of the 2019 Commencement was the conferring of the honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity to Rev. Charles A. Tillman, Sr. Dr. Tillman has been a member of the NBC Board of Trustees for 17 years. He also holds an Associate of Biblical Studies from NBC, as well as two master’s degrees from other institutions. He has been an ordained elder and Nazarene pastor for 37 years and is a district and national leader in the Church of the Nazarene. In recognition of this award, Dr. Tillman received a doctoral hood.
