An Amazing Life Trajectory

My early years were spent growing up in western Pennsylvania near Pittsburgh. Yet, I am NOT a Steelers fan. I had three wonderful brothers and good parents, although I was not raised in a Christian home.

I was six-years-old before I attended any church for the first time. I was invited by my neighbor and attended through my early teen years. Later I met my husband who attended a Nazarene church. It was at a Nazarene camp meeting service on the Pittsburgh district where I made a full commitment of my life to Christ and His service. I have followed his call faithfully for the past forty-four years. Christ is my everything.

I am an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene and served as a pastoral counselor for nine years at a Nazarene church in Pennsylvania.

My husband and I served as Nazarene missionaries for ten years in the beautiful country of South Africa. From 2003-2009, we served at Nazarene Theological College in Johannesburg where I served as the vice president for academic affairs. I developed a distance education program for a bachelor of theology degree which was fully accredited by the South African Department of Education. It was the first of its kind for Nazarenes in all of Africa.

I enjoy doing theological research for publications.  Recently, I published a work entitled:  “The Search for a Genetic Determinism for Homosexuality: Implications for Pastoral Counselors” which is available on Amazon.  In 2017, I was asked to write a commentary for the New Testament book of The Epistle of Jude which is available on Ebsco Host. The comprehensive work is titled: “A Student’s Guide to the New Testament.”

Being an adjunct faculty for NBC for the past twelve years has been a personal blessing.  It has given me the opportunity to serve this outstanding higher education institution while investing in and mentoring students who are following God’s call upon their lives.

We have a daughter, Annique, who is married to Mike and lives in Bismarck, ND along with our first grandchild, Ryleigh Grace.

I enjoy vegetarian cooking and summer cycling and hiking on national park trails.
