Celebrating 25 Years of Service

At the NBC Faculty Workshop which is held once a year, two very special NBC administrators were honored: Dr. Alan Lyke for 25 years of service and Mr. Fred Phillips for 20 years of service to NBC.

President Graves shared that Dr. Lyke has served as faculty, as chaplain of the college, as director of pastoral ministries, as the Dean of Online, and presently, as a Vice President for Academic Affairs. He thanked him for his unusually long time of service and even after all these years is still standing as an important leader here at NBC.

A plaque was presented as well as a financial gift showing gratitude for Alan’s excellent service to God’s “Called Ones” down through these years.

President Graves prayed a blessing over Alan and Marilyn, their children and grandchildren, that God’s blessing would pass down through each generation.

There were those in person and those through zoom covering three States (Kansas, Colorado and Arizona) called in to help celebrate this achievement. The administration, faculty, and staff clapped in approval of Alan’s great service to NBC. The presentation was made on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 as part of the Faculty Workshop, a yearly event very special to Dr. Alan’s academic team.
