Requirements for Open ASG Positions

V.P. of Spiritual Life

She or he oversees the activities of all student-led ministry groups and promotes a spirit of service and outreach to the community of Colorado Springs as well as the development of gifts and graces of NBC students involved in the various groups. Must have a 3.0 GPA, be a junior or senior, and be taking at least six credit hours.

V.P. of Organizations

She or he oversees the student-led organizations through encouragement, guidance, and helps new groups get established as interest arises. Must have a 2.75 GPA, be a junior or senior, and be taking at least six credit hours.

Senoir Representative

Minister to fellow peers on and off campus according to personal spiritual gifts and as led by the Holy Spirit. While on-campus, the ASG representative is a minister, not just a student, so one should have an “on-the-job� mentality of ministry when stepping foot on NBC’s campus. He or she is a liaison between ASG and their delegate class and assists in ASG functions. Must have a 2.75 GPA to be a senior representative and be taking at least nine credit hours.

In addition, he or she coordinates the decision making process and purchase of the class tree, presents the gift tree to the President of NBC, and facilitates the Tree Planting Ceremony. Must have a 2.75 GPA, be a senior, and be taking at least six credit hours.

Freshman Representative

Minister to fellow peers on and off campus according to personal spiritual gifts as led by the Holy Spirit. While on-campus, the ASG representative is a minister, not just a student, so one should have an 'on-the-job' mentality of ministry when stepping foot on NBC's campus. He or she is a liaison between ASG and their delegate class and assists in ASG functions. Must have a 2.75 GPA to be a freshman representative and be taking at least nine credit hours.

Being a member of the ASG requires a commitment. Monthly meetings are on the first Saturday of every month at 8:00 a.m. unless otherwise specified. Any ASG member absent for two consecutive meetings without justification may be deprived of office subject to the joint approval of the ASG and the college administration.
