Student Chat: Classes Tailored for Pastoral Ministry
I interviewed with our District Board of Ministry last week, and they gave me the news that I have satisfied the educational requirements for ordination. The 12 courses I have taken with NBC have been enjoyable and immediately applicable. They are tailored exactly to pastoral ministry, and I believe my current role as Senior Pastor has already been greatly strengthened by participation in these 12 courses. I would like to believe that I preach better, counsel better, chair board meetings better and provide solid leadership in our mission of raising up disciples who look more and more like Christ. Although the Board of Ministry has not asked me to take any more NBC classes, I might continue with a course now and then - they are that valuable!
