Letter From Dean Lyke to the NBC Community

Nazarene Bible College announced on March 18, 2020, with deep regret, that this year’s Commencement Ceremony scheduled for May 24, 2020, would not take place. The health concerns and uncertainty related to the COVID-19 virus on our communities, our country, and our world were the impetus for the decision.

Given the ongoing impact of the disease, and the unpredictable conditions we all are still facing, the Class of 2020 will be formally celebrated next spring. Graduates who would have been recognized this May will instead be invited to attend next year’s Commencement Ceremony, to be held on Memorial Day Weekend, 2021.

The college will still confer certificates and degrees to all who are eligible to graduate in the 2019-2020 academic year.

While it is never pleasant to share news like this, the college believes this action is good stewardship of the health and other resources given to each of us by the One we serve. We are glad you are a part of the NBC family.

Grace and peace to you,

Alan
