He lives.
He lives.

An After Easter Reflection

Why Easter is so Important: “...because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore, he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.” (Hebrews 7:24-25)

Because He lives forever:

He has a permanent priesthood, always living to intercede.

He is able to save completely those who come to Him.

Truth Statement: When Jesus rose from the dead, it enabled Him to continuously administer the salvation and freedom He purchased for us on the Cross.

Because He is alive, we are offered a relationship and not a religious experience with a set of rules to live by. Our purpose is not to keep the memory and teachings of a dead guy alive but to meet Him, know Him, experience love from Him, love Him in response, follow Him, and continuously be transformed by Him.

Because He is alive, His work in us, which started with forgiveness, can continue toward fulfillment and maturity. We have hope for transformation with the inner-life struggles: past hurts, anger, bitterness, depression, addictions, desires/habits, attitudes, and physical sickness. We have hope for healthy and productive lives: comfort, healing of brokenness, strength, wisdom, and the opportunity to positively impact others.
