Global Gathering on Discipleship
Global Gathering on Discipleship

Join the Denomination-Wide Online Service

We trust that you are experiencing good days in the Lord. We are grateful for each one of you and the excellent work that you are doing for the Lord and His church. As you may recall, last fall we had the opportunity to celebrate what God was doing in the life of the church through the Global Service of Thanks. Considering that the global church family will not be able to gather in June for General Assembly, we thought it would be good for us to come together again as a church family to worship the Lord! This is an invitation for you to join the Board of General Superintendents in the second denomination-wide online service, A Celebration of Grace.

The 24-hour service will be broadcast on 27 June 2021, the same weekend that our global family would have gathered for the 30th General Assembly, which has been postponed until June 2023. These global gatherings are an important part of our identity as a denomination, and we are thankful for technology that makes it possible for us to connect.

The service will focus on our global discipleship initiative, Nazarene Discipleship: A Journey of Grace. It will include a Journey of Grace promotional video, brief messages from each general superintendent, and three multilingual worship songs with musicians from all six regions.

We received many positive messages about how the first virtual service helped us to be connected as a global church, and we anticipate God using this time to further unite us around our shared journey, from grace to grace to grace.

We look forward to worshiping together with you on 27 June!

Grace and peace,

Board of General Superintendents

Filimão M. Chambo, Eugénio R. Duarte, David W. Graves, David A. Busic, Gustavo A. Crocker,
