Question: Is Thanksgiving Day considered a holiday when it comes to assignments, attendance, and participation in online courses?
Answer: NBC encourages online students to schedule their week’s work in such a way that they don’t have to be in class on Thanksgiving Day if they choose not to. So, assignments can be completed and submitted early, participation posts can happen on other days during the week, etc. In some cases the instructor will postpone the assignment due on Thursday, but that’s left to the discretion of the individual instructor.
