Degrees
The Bachelor of Arts
in Ministry
The Bachelor of Arts in Ministry degree (B.A.Min.) is designed for persons who wish to gain a breadth of ministry skills and knowledge in order to serve as ministers, counselors, educators or in supportive roles for the mission of the church and the redemptive work of God in this world.
The degree is based on a strong general studies component and advanced studies in Bible, theology, and ministry principles. Depending on the chosen major, the B.A.Min. degree is designed to prepare students for work as pastors, deacons, ministers of church music, counselors, and educators as well as prepare students for graduate work in the church.
The Associate of Arts
in Ministry
The Associate of Arts in Ministry degree (A.A.Min.) is designed for persons who wish to gain ministry skills and knowledge in order to serve as lay workers in churches or Christian organizations.
The degree is based on a strong general studies component and introductory studies in Bible, theology, and ministry principles. While not providing all the competencies for completion of ordination education requirements in the Church of the Nazarene, the program gives foundational knowledge and skills for lay contribution to the work of the church either as volunteers or as paid staff members.
